Episode 175, “Punks Not Dead (Its Just Changed)”
-Andrew For America re-visits the idea of what it means to be "punk rock" here in the 21st century. He plays clips from Arthur Kwonlee to help illustrate the reality of the current status quo. Andrew talks about the increasing escalation of violence on the world stage, differing religious beliefs, and the lack of awareness that plagues our people. Andrew also gives a brief history lesson about an event that occurred on the Capitol steps in 1932, when upset WW1 military veterans protested to get what they had earned and were being denied by the Hoover administration. The result was a military attack on American veterans, an attack by our military on our own people. Andrew ends by urging all military members to never make the decision to turn on the American people, in the event that this corrupt government orders you to. The song selection is the song, "Bleeding" by the band Ignite.
