Episode 26, “Above the Law”

-Andrew discusses whether or not the police, Big Tech, big business, and big government are above the law. He plays a clip from Ted Cruz speaking to the Federal Trade Commission and shares a quote from Sen. Josh Hawley. He also talks about a Forbes magazine article on how the telecommunication companies and smartphone companies capitalized on the opportunity to take more power over the society, which was afforded to them due to the Covid-19 pandemic. He then discusses a Swedish study that determined that a small group of multi-national corporations’ control and dominate the world.

It’s amazing how brave the leadership of these big tech companies are with regard to being honest with the government about their business practices, specifically with regard to how they may or may not be censoring, shadow-banning, etc. conservative voices on social media platforms. Sen. Ted Cruz, while speaking to the Federal Trade Commission, states that the general answer Big Tech gives to the government’s questions is, “go jump in a lake.” Clearly, these tech companies believe that they are above the law.
