Show notes:

Many Americans have a difficult time believing that there is honesty in the news media, and this lack of honesty (in the media, and in ourselves) is effecting American culture in a negative way. Our American culture, and how we conduct ourselves, and what we believe, is important because if we want an honest perspective on the idea of America being the "greatest country in the world,” then we must honestly self-reflect on why exactly it is that we believe that…and if its really true.

In today's episode, I provoke some thought about how we Americans can benefit from honesty in the news media, and honesty within ourselves.

This subject came up for me when I was thinking about these two clips, and how I feel that these two clips illustrate the need for we Americans to think deeply about the type of people we want to be as Americans, and in order to do that, we must self-reflect honestly about how we conduct ourselves and how we operate our society.

I thought this was important to talk about in this episode because I love these very thought-provoking, moving clips; and how they help us gain some perspective on the realities of our great nation.

I have always been interested in why we Americans think the way we do and I hope we all can learn something important in this episode.

Here are the questions to think about in this episode:

  • Is America the greatest country in the world? If so, why?

  • How would the powers-that-be run our society if they were “the devil?”

  • What does it mean to be an “American” to you?

  • Why do some American citizens “hate” America?
